B-tech GPS Speed Control Project Presentation 1

Well as many of you may know that In Final year of Engineering we are required to Present a project, to Clear thru engineering,

My college being affiliated to JNTU means I have 200 marks for the project and only 2 Theory Subject,

The Thing is that you have to do well in your project or else the Engineering Degree is of no use.

 

As u might be familiar with the Scenario going on at our college, they r enforcing the rule about reporting every week and we have to submit the progress of the project,

 

Everything went fine, till the day of the project seminar,

Our slot was at 2:30pm January 30th, so by the time I was at the campus, there was so much tension in the air and rumours that the project evaluators were not waiting till the students finished the seminar and were asking questions in-between.

 

Well we didn’t get shaken up by that and took a cool head to the Dias, but when we got there we got the same treatment-

First of all the latest MS office was not installed in the Systems so it was not officially compatible with those Computers, so many lost marks this way, I had to convert the documents to 2003 format using my laptop, but at the time of my presentation we were not allowed to pug in my laptop to show the slides but was asked to play it via the Desktop connected to the projector.

 

I had Multimedia on my slides and the conventional method of copying via pen drives wouldn’t play the multimedia on the slides.

Thank fully I had saved the project in an Executable from (Pack n Go function), so it meant I could play the multimedia but not all fonts were copied.

 

But all that didn’t matter; when the presentation started the evaluators were like

NEXT slide-NEXT slide, and didn’t let us even start the presentation, and took us to the very end of the slides, and said, we know whets GPS, we Know whts Microcontroller, tell us the detail explanation about the brake and viscosity,

So if I was to give all dies data at the First Presentation,

What am I suppose to show at the Second Presentation? we were stunned by the reactions of the Evaluators and didn’t anticipate this at all,

Normally we r suppose to give detail explanation about all the parts of the block diagram, but they didn’t ask any???- And our slides only supported till the block diagram and we had to plan it under 20 mins, so we couldn’t include anymore data.

 

Well our Presentation Lasted only 3 mins and we were out by 5mins.

 

Well i am not sure how many marks will be awarded to us, but hope to do better at the 2nd Presentation.
